And with us get into our study of God's Word. Thursday nights we're going through Second

Kings chapter by chapter verse by verse. And tonight chapter 19, been really looking forward

to this chapter and what the Lord has for us. So why don't you turn there and then while

you're doing that, I want to mention a couple of things. The first of

which is that Pastor Russell is going to be filling in for me for the next two Thursdays.

So next Thursday, August 26th and the following Thursday, June 2nd. The reason is is

that my firstborn son is graduating from high school.

So, and it just happens to be on a Thursday night.

They didn't check with me.

Callahoe High School didn't check with me.

Say, hey, can we have the Collahoe High School graduation on Thursday night?

We know it's your midweek, Pastor J.D.

But anyway, so they didn't check with me, so it's on that Thursday.

And the following Thursdays is 18th birthday.

And these are pretty big milestones for our firstborn son.

So anyway, Pastor Russell is going to be teaching for me on those nights.

The second thing I want to mention about tonight's study is that it's going

to be a little bit different in the sense that I've sort of subtitled it, what to do

in a trial. Now if you were with us last week, you learned how that Israel and namely King Hezekiah were in the midst of the trial of their

life with the whole of the nation of Israel sort of hanging in the balance because of the King of

Assyria. And now what Hezekiah does in response

here in chapter 19 is going to provide us with a tremendous lesson when it comes to those
