You know a lot of people say hey man don't victim shame.

In this case victim shame.

Eight hikers who entered the closed area of Jasper National Park in September,

they've been issued with a court appearance notice. After two of the members of their party required mountain rescue services.

The hikers required helicopter evacuation from the site, but not because they were

injured. The hikers claim to be tired and unable to complete the rest of their hike. Now the rescue

mission diverted one of two helicopters from

wild fire response for over three hours. The incident occurred on September 10th when the

party attempted to climb Pyramid Mountain. It's about a 10,000 foot tall peak in the Canadian National Park,

which by the way has been closed since July because of massive wildfires.

Now while access to the pyramid lake area was permitted on that date, access to the trails were closed to all traffic because the recruits there responding to ongoing wildfire activity as well as I say other ongoing hazards. Now Jasper

National reports that there's been consistent communication on on site
