Okay, we'll go ahead and get started.

When we get started, we'll be picking up in St. Paul's second epistle to the

Corinthians at the beginning of chapter four, where we left off last time.

And so by way of brief review slash catch up, we're not that far into the epistle.

We talked about how this is actually at least St. Paul's fourth epistle to the Corinthians in actuality,

because there was a letter before Firstst Corinthians and there was at least a

letter in between 1st and 2nd Corinthians that we no longer have and we talked about how

St. Paul's visit between 1st and 2nd Corinthians did not go well.

And that he wrote that letter in between that we know about in some sadness after how things had gone. And we've seen it so far in the first three chapters, especially chapter

in chapter two, St. Paul is really working with this letter to try and bring about some

reconciliation between the people in the community. And he's already sort of said on his behalf that he's forgiven everyone and has nothing against

anyone.

He's been urging them to forgive each other, including some of the people who had to be kind

of placed under discipline because of the way they were living.

There were some people who kind of, when he visited

and when he was working to resolve these things
