So I saw this story yesterday, and then I saw something on CBS Sunday morning about phobias. But the one, first one I saw yesterday, it was 30% of adults are afraid of the dark. Halloween. Oh, yeah, yeah. This show forgets about Halloween because we don't celebrate it anymore. But it's coming up this weekend. But 30% of adults are afraid of the dark I don't know what

they do with those people but this lady was on CBS Sunday morning and she's a phobia expert

and she uh she worked for she's assistant professor at Harvard and this person was afraid of flying

and apparently the way to get rid of phobia is you got to do them. Yeah. So she flew somewhere to the gosh of India. I guess she flies around the world to help people out. She must be highly paid or something like that. So some guys are afraid of flying in India. They went over. They took 25 flights in five days. Wow. Just kept getting on a plane, kept getting on a plane.

25 flights in five days.

And it cured them.

And then she's got an elevator in her office that's pretty small.

So for claustrophobia.

And she puts these people in the elevator.

And I guess her building in her office in Harvard is probably three floors. It just goes and they stay in it and go up and down the elevator. Yeah. And she stands in there with them, you know, just to talk to them. And they just go up and down the elevator. But I saw this piece. And a cure, you saw it too. And the thing that killed me was the fact that she will admit that she still has an irrational fear of cockroach cockroaches right now here's to deal with that that's fine because

does she have a dentist that doesn't affect her daily life some guy comes in and drills your mouth all day

there was a dentist person on there was there was a there was a there was a chick that's so afraid

of dentistry.

But here's a deal with that lady. She goes, oh, her dental work done being put to sleep anyway. She just can't even walk in the office not freaking out. Does she also have like a snake pit or a pit full of reptiles? See, that's what I mean. A lot of people are afraid of that. The claustrophobia one and the flying one, especially the flying one, Stuff you really want and the height one.

I mean, you want to overcome those.

oh it was a true grit or whoever plays the young lady was really afraid of snakes and then

fell into a snake pit oh Oh, that's right.

It's like me and rats, but you don't, I don't want to get over my fear of rats. I don't, I just don't, I'm not going to be around rats. Well, if you want to get rid of it. There's some things you can be afraid of and just not have it in your life. Right. That's right. Like cockroaches. Yeah. But it sounds like what she practices is like total immersion.
