First, it's frightening because you were on a river that is swollen by the rainy season

And by rain I mean a downpour, a deluge, the ocean dumping on your heads

And you went out into the river, which is considerably expanded from when I last saw it on one of your videos from earlier in the year

The river is filled with floating debris. Any part of that debris could have taken your canoe down

You were powered by an outboard, but I was not impressed with the safety mechanisms going up river to Bahu Chiquito

There were boat after boat of migrants coming down river headed to the centerfront checkpoint

Where you'd left, where you can find the Panama Highway and go north towards Panama City

When you reach Bahu Chiquito this time, I'm struck by how many more migrants were there

Oh yeah, the numbers are about triple since they, you know, on your show actually

I said that those numbers are going to do something like this because we could see the signs and symptoms down in Colombia
