Well, howdy, we are going to be in the book of First Peter.

We go through books of the Bible.

If you're new, we're glad to have you.

And that's going to be nine weeks in First Peter.

This is week eight. eight will finish next week and as

you're finding your place in first Peter I know many of you both in person and

online are new and this is the Bible this is what we're going to be studying this week and every week.

And I want you to know that this is the book that God wrote.

And so if you want a word from God, you need to open the word of God.

This is how God primarily has chosen to speak to us and when it comes

to the scriptures ultimately this book is for you but it's not primarily about you. It's

for you but it's not primarily about you. For those of you that have been with me for a while, who's it primarily about?

It's about Jesus. It's about Jesus. So the book is about Jesus, and it is for you and me.

And what we're going to do, we're going to look

at the life of Jesus and then we're

going to look at our life and what it means

to follow in his footsteps as a follower of Christ.

And one big word I want to introduce to you tonight
