Summary

Your body remembers long before you ever learned the words to explain what you were feeling. In this conversation, licensed professional counselor and author AC Seiple shares why so many of us mistake constant stress for normal life. We talk about parts of AC's story where she moved constantly as a child, she walked on two broken feet as a adult without realizing they were broken. We discuss what happens inside us after frightening experiences and why time outdoors is one of the best places to begin finding our footing again. This episode will help you understand yourself with more compassion and offer a hopeful path toward living with a little more ease, presence, and wholeness. It would be great if I had time and space to really, you know, not only do self-care in terms of,

1:40.7

you know, maybe getting my hair done, but, you know, like caring for the depths of my soul. Like, what does that actually look like? How do I actually have time and space for that in my life? And I think the biggest reason this is difficult is it's not just a matter of do I have time for it. It comes down to the muscle memory that's literally down in our nervous system of how we're used to living life, go, go, go.
