0:19.3	country 20 years in the Navy SEALs and just so grateful for your service and to know that it is utterly important for our freedoms and for all the things that we enjoy so thank you.

0:34.0	San Diego a couple days ago for our friend's retirement ceremony and he did 33
0:39.2	years in the SEAL teams and he's one of the first people that I met when I walked into my first seal team at seal team five in 1997 and then he ended up being
0:47.5	my troop chief which is like the senior enlisted when we went to Iraq a few years back now.
0:53.4	So I got to be there at his retirement ceremony
0:55.8	and it was like a huge reunion.
0:57.4	So it was a lot.

1:00.4	Well, you have just built this empire, and it is incredible, six books, another book coming out that is non-fiction, which I'm excited to hear about, a television series on Amazon Prime that is the top streamed with
1:16.2	Chris Pratt and Six Book is coming out, Only the Dead. So I would love to start back in your childhood. I think that your story is such an interesting one because this got set in motion, this book here and the television series and all of that got set in motion when you were 11 years old.

1:41.0	So can you just tell us both for the Navy SEALs and for becoming a writer,
1:45.6	some of that childhood inspiration?
1:47.8	Yeah, I mean it started very early for me. I wasn't one of those kids or adults that is constantly searching or unsure of what they want to do or anything like that.
1:56.8	And I think a lot of it, the military side, I think was just in my blood from the get-go.
