And we have as a guest today, Cody Hanner. Welcome.

Hi, Jenny, thank you for having me. We sort of run in some of the same circles. We're going to be at some same conferences later on this year.

Cody is an Idaho homesteader, homeschool mom of six and a homestead curriculum creator.

She has her own podcast called the Homestead Education Podcast and a business membership and

she's doing all sorts of things.

I'm so excited to talk with you today.

Oh, well, I have been so excited to get to talk with you,

so this is going to be great.

It is.

So I was reading a lot about you on your website and really was intrigued by your

story because I think a lot of times when you see someone who is a homesteader it really seems like they've got their life together because being a homesteader involves an enormous amount of skill sets.

So this is someone who has figured out not only their sort of day-to-day life with six kids and with

homeschooling but also figured out this set of skills that many of us don't have

we didn't grow up with we don don't have the knowledge, and so somehow figured out how to do all of these other things.

So sometimes you just see that one side of them, but then on your website you really dive into your story and it's one of a lot of

hardships, a lot of triumphs, but also a lot of hardships.

And so I think it's always really encouraging to hear about people's squiggly paths.

That's what Dr. Madeline Levine calls them.

A lot of us have squiggly paths.

She says nine out of ten people don't have a straight shot to what they're doing.

Most people are kind of weaving in and out.
