I've never done this before so here I'm so excited here we go are you ready is everybody ready

let's do it all right well welcome to our first ever one thousand hours outside book club

thank you for being here from the bottom of my heart.

And Alistair, seriously, this is the coolest thing. I was nervous all day, but so thrilled

to be able to talk with you and to have this book club.

And so what some people have done is they've gotten together with friends,

with their nature groups, gone over some of the questions.

I know people have done kids groups based around your books so people have done some questions

together but what a treat to have you here as our first ever book club

guest to talk about these fantastic books that you've written that are so

inspiring so can you just start off by giving us a little

Alister introduction and we're going to go from there? Yeah sure so for all the

naughty boys and girls who haven't done their homework and read the books I'm Alist Hamfries. I am an adventurer and what I like to do is go out into the world

and do adventurous stuff and there's lots of different definitions of what adventurous stuff means and then I come home and I write books about them and one thing I really try and do is encourage people to get out of their normal lives and live a little bit more adventure asleep so when I first learned about a thousand hours outside I thought a-ha

with their adventures, micro adventures in particular.
