The January 6th case against Trump is history.

Special counsel Jack Smith throws in the towel in his two cases against President-elect Trump,

the election interference case, and won on classified documents.

Once Donald Trump won the election, it was game over for Smith.

We reported right after the election, Smith would drop the case in D.C.

And stepped down his special counsel before Trump is inaugurated.

Why?

Because the Justice Department cannot prosecute a sitting president.

He writes, it has long been the position of the Department of Justice that the United States Constitution forbids the federal indictment and subsequent criminal prosecution of a sitting president.

Foxes David Spont. Federal Judge Tanya Chutkin agreed and tossed out the January 6th case,

while an appeals court must still rule on the documents case. President-elect Trump says

he will, as soon as he takes office, impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada and an additional 10% levy on Chinese products.

Eric and Lyle Menendez in prison for the 1989 murder of their parents will have to wait a bit longer for their resentencing hearing.

It will not now happen until January 30th. The judge says he needs more time to go through

the voluminous amount of documents that both sides have given him in this case. Fox is Jonathan

18 million passengers during the Thanksgiving holiday, up 5% from last year.

In addition to beefing up staffing, some checkpoints will open at 3 a.m.
