In 1994, shock jock, Howard Stern, who's best known for his sexually charged,

adolescent humor at times, but nuanced and funny and a very smart professional

broadcaster.

But always saying kind of outrageous things and doing stunts, he's on the top of the world.

He has millions of loyal radio listeners at this time.

We want to be very upfront about it. That's the thing. When you're honest and you throw light on the situation, no one can have something on you.

And is on in many markets outside his home market of New York City.

In fact, he briefly launches a bid for a governor of New York, a libertarian party, promises to end highway tolls.

He drops out and he never becomes governor.

But it's in September one day during his live morning broadcasts when a man calls the show and says he's at the George Washington Bridge in New York, he has a cellular phone, which not everybody had then, but some did,

and he says he's ready to jump. About eight this morning, a distraught man called Stern on a cell

phone saying he was on the George Washington Bridge and was going to jump off and take his life.

He only identifies himself as Prince. We can't tell if it's real or not, but...
