Well, briefly, tell us about your upcoming Smithsonian presentation.

Well, I'm going to be talking about my new book, who we are and how we got here, ancient DNA and the new science of the human past.

And really what this book is about is the massive technological improvements that have happened in the last 10 years

which have made it possible to regularly get DNA sequence out of bones that are

thousands or even tens of thousands of years old.
