Nellie, I know the folks listening to you and me are going to find this hard to understand.

The Mets are totally out of it.

There's no way they got anything to do but just play a ball game and that's it.

And yet, right here, for a giveaway of a toteback,

waterproof vinyl with a New York-West field and we have over 50,000 people.

I don't think there's an empty seat in the stadium.

It looks like they're all so left.

People are still coming in here, but it is.

It's a great tribute to the fans in New York City, I guess.

They've been treated with some pretty good baseball,

but I don't think any more than the people in Pittsburgh

have in the last five or six years.

But it is quite a remarkable turnout here.

For a 25 centipag back.

That's about what it is.

I mean, we had automobiles, the pony, and campers.

Two 27, 28,000. This, 2,000, 2,000,

this, I guarantee, ladies and gentlemen,

is an absolute sell-out, standing room only.

They're still coming in.

But they give it to everybody that comes into the ballpark,

and they're all carrying their Mets coat tag.
