The defendant thought she was dead and brought her body to the burn pile to dispose of the evidence.

It was a dark July night in the village of Theodosia, Missouri, in 2017.

Some residents in the small village noticed large flames emanating from a farm along

country road 905.

It was a common occurrence to see bushfires on the oizgharts of the village, so the residents

thought nothing of it.

A couple of days later, however, police converged at the farm after receiving a report of a

missing teenager.

Theodosia is a small village of less than 300 people in Ozarkante, Missouri, in the United

States.

Its near Missouri saw their border with Arkansas, and at both of a couple of shops, a high school,

and a small post office.

Some locals say the village was named off to the wife of an elderly postmaster, Theodosia

heard, but others say it was named after his daughter, Theodosia Kirby.

With long and winding country roads and compost in Woodland, life in Theodosia is slow-paced,

and it's considered a desirable area for parents to raise their children.

In 2017, 16-year-old Savannah Lecky called Theodosia home.

Savannah was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome when she was 9 years old, but she never let

that diagnosis get in the way of life.

In fact, many who knew Savannah weren't even aware that she had Asperger's syndrome,

due to the fact that she was very high-functioning.
