All-Star game was rained out, and that is my first understatement of the day.

Because there was a deluge of rain in some sections of Washington more than 12 inches of rain.

They had to take hoses and pumps to pump out the waste-high water in the Washington

Senator's dugout, which for today and last night is the American League dugout. There are

drains in center field. They have taken the sections of those drains out and now replace them.

And the field is in pretty good shape. We'll have a word about a pitching change for the American
