It's another beautiful baseball day in New York. The temperature right now, 63 degrees,

humidity 52%. The wind, 10 miles an hour blowing from the plate out toward right field at the moment,

and just ideal weather conditions again.

So the weather man again has given the 1960 World, magnificent cooperation.

It's game number five of the 60 World Series, with the Yankees again playing host to the Pirates

here at Yankee Stadium, with the series all even now at two victories apiece.

For the Yankees today, it's going to be right-hander

our Dittmar, and for the Pittsburgh Pirates,

the little left-hander, Harvey Haddox. This is Dittmar's third world series with the Yankees,

and this will be his fifth world series game. It is the first world series ever for

Pirate South Paul Harvey Haddox. Staging a remarkable recovery,

the spunky pirates fought their way back to even terms with the Yankees here at the stadium

yesterday by winning the fourth game, 3 to 2.

Thus, Danny Murtsaw's bucks, after absorbing thrashings of 16 to 3 and 10 to nothing,

stand every bit as well as the bombers from New York.

The series is deadlocked and no matter how this one goes today,

Pittsburgh is assured of a sixth game at Forbes Field on Wednesday

in the four out of seven struggle.
