Summary

From a  Hebrew / Biblical foundation, there are three factors that set you up for success in life. The first two are timeless, the third has an interesting twist in my opinion when you consider the times we live in. In this super short episode I give you all three and tell you why you'd be wise NOT to ignore building your online commerce skills. As always, get all show notes and links at SilentJim.com

Hey, this is Jim, and I've just had one of those crazy days where we've packed in so much

0:07.1

activity, so much work, serving this community, growing the business, seeing great results,

0:12.4

great sales day. And I'm having the thought, it's kind of a clarifying thought as I'm thinking

0:19.1

through our family and kids and education. And what does that

0:24.6

all have to do with each other? Well, this is going to be a super short episode. But the same thing

0:29.5

I'm telling my kids, the same thing I'm advising the young people that I love and care about,

0:34.2

are the same things that I think you should consider telling your kids. I'm not telling

0:58.2

And it's just getting harder and harder and harder all the time to convince me that

getting a well-rounded education where you can pass standardized tests

1:06.4

and then get into a college and get a degree, a piece of paper, reading books that people told you to

1:12.5

read. That is seeming less and less like a way to build a stable future where you can create value

1:21.4

and earn a great income. I know there's some people that have to go to college for certain degrees and

1:28.1

things, but there's a lot of useless degrees and the more I'm seeing colleges. This isn't a rant

1:32.2

against college today as much as it is. What advice would I give to someone if they say, hey,

1:37.6

what does it mean to educate and prepare your child for the future or to be educated and

1:41.3

prepared myself for the future? What are the baselines? And I'm going to jump

1:46.8

back to thousands of year old ancient biblical truths and established principles. If you go back

1:53.8

to episode zero of this very podcast, you'll hear me lay out the case very factually why these

1:59.7

principles should be applied by anyone who's willing to look at the
