Summary

The good ship Planet Porky returns with Mike Parry and Lesley-Ann Jones at the helm.

Today's newsworthy talking points include: the cold April weather, carnage on the roads, the police, your favourite childhood confectionary, driverless cars, technological advancement, calling home from the sky, Boris' interior decoration scandal, John Lewis, why Dominic Cummings seems to be so bitter, cheesy managers being the best managers, creative tension in the office, Jean Butler, the Welsh language, being an old dad, Ian Wright, physical and mental struggles with difficult parents, Ringo's latest Beatles tale, and whether Mike Parry will ever get round to penning his autobiography. It's the audio equivalent of a page-turner, it's Life on Planet Porky!

Leslie Ann, how are you, this very fine day?

1:03.6

But a miserable day with rain in the air and grey, cloudy,

just depresses everybody.

1:09.1

That's what it was like yesterday.

1:10.5

I have business to attend to

1:12.4

today, which will mean gathering outside with people. So I'm rather glad that it's much brighter

1:18.1

and breezier. Yeah, it was wet, wasn't it? And we had where I live, there was a horrible accident in the

1:24.0

village, more or less right outside our place. And I had my head hanging out the window.

1:29.8

I was giving my daughter running commentary. I said, rolling news here, you know, you should be

1:33.8

grateful for this. I'm your eyes so that you don't have to stand here. But somebody seemed to have

1:39.4

been run down by a truck. I got really, really cross because, you know, a double-decker bus does not

1:46.5

stop in the middle of the street for no reason. So behind the double-decker bus, a trail of cars,

1:53.7

obviously loads of people with places to go and, you know, appointments to get to, blah, blah, blah,
