five dollar latte. I can't stand how often people give coffee as the example for frivolous

spending. Expensive coffee, five dollars a day, 365 days a year, you're talking about $1,875.

Don't check the math.

I don't think that's really the win. Yes you can question you can say oh I should

brown bag my lunch I should make a grocery list and consolidate my shopping

I should coupon I should you know, coupon, I should, you know, carpool, I should cut out the

latte, all of those things are great, great ways to save money. I don't mind the questioning. If you're looking at

Rule 1 and all your priorities are lined up, all your values and you see that

spending a ton of money on groceries is not really what you value, then yeah of course you change it.

But what I want you to do, don't just question the small easy things, like I'm going to,

I'll take a lunch to work now don't just question that

question the big fundamental structure of your finances just once a year you don't

always be questioning every big piece of your life, but once a year you can kind of sit down and you could say,

should we live here?

Should we drive the cars we're driving?

Should we have the kids and all the activities we have them in? Should I have

the job I have? Could we move closer? Could we move further? Could we move back with family? I don't know. Could we downsize? Is it time to upsize?

That kind of questioning where you're questioning the bigger components of your financial picture,

those questions and digging for those answers.

That's what really drives big financial change.
