Welcome to Feathers in My Hair, a teen mom deep dive podcast. I'm your host, Liz Bentley.

0:11.6

Hey, everyone. Hi, good morning. Well, you know, who knows when you're listening to this. For me,

0:17.7

it's Saturday morning. I'm back on my scheduled grind. I told you guys last

0:22.5

week, I was like all out of whack recording so late on Saturday. But life is back to normal.

0:29.7

After a week and a half of winter break, my winter semester starts on Monday. I, because I have to take a certain amount of electives and there are two

0:41.0

classes in my program that you can test out of. And I did not test out of either of them. One is

0:46.7

like statistics and research and I literally opened the test and two questions. Then I just

0:52.5

Xed out because I was like, I don't know any of this. I did take a

0:56.8

class on it in undergrad, but I think in 2011. I took this class a long fucking time ago. And the other

1:03.2

one was human development, which actually you needed an 80 to test out of the class when I got like a 74.

1:09.5

So, which by the way, somebody later told me that

1:12.0

all of those questions for both classes were on Quizlet. And I was like, that's, okay, that's kind of

1:18.1

annoying. But I am actually glad I didn't test out a human development because I really did

1:23.5

learn a lot. And there's no way I could cheat myself out of, like, the statistics and research

1:28.6

because I clearly don't know any of it. So that means that basically it's for people who are, like,

1:33.6

coming out of undergrad with their BSWs. It's, like, easier to test out of that stuff because I don't

1:39.6

have a BSW and I was in undergrad so long ago. None of that stuff is fresh. So I have to take electives,

1:45.7

like in the off season, if you will, like my one school friend, because I essentially only

1:51.1

have one school friend because I reached out to her after I realized we were in all three classes

1:55.9

together. And I was like, hi, can we be friends? Because I don't go to school in person. So I don't

1:59.6

really know anybody.

2:05.7

But she's taking an elective in the spring when I'm in like one of my required courses.
