Summary
Last week, we had a chat about what it looks like when your standards are actually conditions, and you're too wishy-washy about standing firm in the standards you've set…
This week, I want to talk about what happens when you're TOO strict with your standard-setting, and it actually ends up narrowing your dating pool unnecessarily.
I've heard a lot of people asking whether their standards are "too high," and honestly? I don't believe this is even a thing. Standards aren't high or low; they just are. They're something that you've decided to set and stand behind…
But sometimes, we set them in places that aren't actually aligned with what we're truly seeking in a relationship.
Let's talk about what happens when you set standards from a place of entitlement or outside pressure rather than what will ACTUALLY make you feel safe and secure in a relationship. Because I'm betting that your ego has started an unconscious game of peek-a-boo within your standards…and it's actually starting to sabotage your dating life.
