Hey friend, welcome back to the show. You may not know this, but one of my favorite pastimes

is researching and looking up new articles and studies done on clutter. So that may

not sound fun to you, but I really enjoy it. So I'm coming out with today's newest episode where I'm

going to share some different studies to help get you motivated to keep decluttering or get you

on the path to simplifying your home and thereby your life.

I love to get motivated by these stats and studies, and I hope this offers you the same thing.

Now, true story, I almost failed my statistics course in college, but I promise you,

these statistics I'll be sharing won't put you to sleep like my professor did.

I pulled all of this data from

different resources online. Many of them have been published by research journalists,

colleges, and accredited programs such as Harvard, Cornell, just to name a few. Are you ready?

Let's go. Consumers in the United States, a country with 3.1% of the world's children, buy 40% of the

world's toys. And we wonder why we have a toy clutter problem. And by the way, if you

problem for you. But think about that. 3.1% of the world's children, yet we consume 40% of the

world's toys. The average U.S. household has 300,000 things in it. Now, instead of viewing these things as objects, view them as

magnets for your attention has a little bit different of, you know, meaning to it, doesn't it?
