Bucky's in studio. I am I'm on vacation so I'm I'm down by the beach Bucky in fact you can see me actually you see a silhouette of me.

I'm the palm trees in the beach behind me here but how you doing man.

Oh man I'm good how's everything with you.

Everything's good I'm super pumped for today it's going to be kind of a quick episode but we wanted to bring on our good buddy Bruce Feldman who.

You know we've seen it with with players before when free agency hits you know free agency hits at midnight and you hear the deals that come down at 12.01.

Bruce is still going to his TV at Fox but then they made some changes over it on Fox digital and I get rid of the writing so.

Bruce was a free agent for I don't know maybe nine seconds before sports.

And scooped him up and in the one of the first things he wrote for SI was his freaks article which is something we talk about every year buck something we always look forward to.

Yeah we always look forward to it because he's able to get some intel and information that scouts absolutely love to be able to talk to the strength coaches and the guys around the program.

To get some insight on how these guys are is athletes how explosive they are the things that they can do beyond playing on the field that's invaluable information and it kind of helps shape some of those opinions when we get closer to the draft on what I got potentially could be as a pro because you know more about what their overall athleticism and explosiveness can be.

So Bruce expanded it this year I believe this is the most guys that were donated 40 guys on his on his freaks list and these are college football players that have exceptional freakish qualities really looking at the height with speed different testing things that they've done in the strength program and he's kind of compiled this list and last year I heard somebody talking about it.

About last year's list I think something like seven of the top ten players were drafted in the first 40 or 50 picks or something I want to say he had a son reddick on on their last year who before he became household names so Bruce has been out front on a lot of these guys.

Yeah he absolutely has and I think you know like being on the road when you have an opportunity to go and not only watch the tape but you talk to coaches sometimes they can kind of take you to the water underrated guy that may not have put up the production on the field

but he's kind of rating to bubble up just because they see the athletic trace they see the explosiveness every day in workouts he just needs a shot and so Bruce does a great job of bringing those guys to the server so I'm excited to talk to him about the guys on this list.

Yeah well we're getting Bruce here we're tracking him down he is he's coming back from SEC media day so he actually going to catch him in the airport I believe in Charlotte while he's waiting to get on the plane there but so we'll catch up with him.

Bucket we got another episode we're going to do next week just one episode next week we're both kind of going to be out and about before everything really cranks up and earnest here with training camp so next week we're going to look at the non-playoff teams I thought we had some fun have a draft on those non-playoff teams just which ones we like going to this upcoming season kind of break out teams and teams going to rebound maybe from it down here.

I mean that should be exciting because what we do know is on average there five new playoff teams every year and so some of those teams there were also runs last year we're certainly emerged as contenders we saw the land of Falcons do that and become one of the heavy weights in the NFC made their way to Super Bowl 51 really when a position to win it so which teams are on the friends that we see making a major move this season.

I'm lucky we got him now very busy man come back to me see media days are good buddy Bruce Feldman joins us now Bruce first of all before we get to your freaks list which we've been talking about a little bit here what you take away from sc media day.

It was a circus you know as it usually is this year there was a little bit of a curve ball in it where you had used to not filing a lawsuit against Ole Miss and you freeze which you know made it a little more drama a little more intrigue and as they say in the you know the sc like say it just means more just in this case it just means more drama so you know it's it's good just to see a lot of the players you know you get to see him how they handle you know a lot of you know this situation.

But a much time around Christian Kirk he was very very impressive you know and and you know they're not the question obviously in this league is just who are the good quarterbacks you got a bunch of young ones who are promising but right now that's the big that's the big unknown.
