Union soldiers position themselves behind a stone wall at the top of Culp's Hill,

overlooking the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. From there, they could see in the distance a hint

of gray that then became unmistakable as a set of moving bodies. Confederates were moving towards

their position with every intention of reaching it.

The Union soldiers kept a tight eye on the Confederates, marching towards them, did nothing,

said nothing. Until that moment when the Confederates came close enough and reached a point

known as the bloody angle, then the Billy Yanks stood up over the stone wall and extended their hands to the Johnny

Rips.

Oh, it's not some alt history or fantasy.
