And in that, the number one, the first rule that the rich dad has for Robert Kiyosaki is the rich don't work for money.

That always was confusing to me. What do you mean the rich don't work for money? Oh, they buy assets.

They have their money, make baby monies. Oh, that makes sense, right? That's just investments. That's just getting a return on your investment, right? But how did they get rich? Right? They didn't just start rich. The rich don't just all of a sudden, unless you were born into a rich, wealthy family,

what does that mean? How do you go and make money from your money if you're not already rich?

And I think that this was one of the toughest distinctions for me as I was coming up as a real

estate entrepreneur is I thought to myself, all of the money that I make, I'm going to just put

into assets. I'm going to put it into

rental properties because then my money will make other money. And it failed. It all went,

it just all disappeared. I lost everything. I lost all the properties. I lost my cars. I lost

relationships. I lost a business. I lost an office space. Lost it all because I wanted to go from here. I was self-employed and I wanted to put all my money into here. I was out there and I was hustling, right? The cash flow quadrant. Employee, self-employed business owner-investor.
