So there's this feeling that you need to already be a really successful business owner or be successful in some way or have some like amazing, incredible, very unique special story to get featured in the media.

And it is absolutely not true. And I want to share with you my own story around getting media exposure and how I did it really, really early on in my business.

And I hope that it gives you inspiration or some little muggot so you could go and do this too.

When you're in the early stages of building a business or honestly at any stage of building

a business, momentum is so important because when you stop, that's when you can start pulling

things apart, which is not good as destructive. Keeping momentum going is really important. And for me, I found getting myself out there and

connecting and networking and also the media exposure really helped me to feel in myself like,

this is really going somewhere. This is like moving in this right direction. Wow, I'm now on

this person's radio show. Like, what the heck? Like, this is really happening in this right direction wow i'm now on this person's radio show like

what the heck like this is really happening and it made me feel really excited about like this new

chapter in my life was starting and i was like putting myself out there for me this is how i got

going with media exposure i talked in a previous video about the power of networking. Early on, I started

to go to local networking events and started connecting with people. I guarantee if you go to a few

local networking events, I'm sure you'll find at least one person who either has a local

radio station or probably loads of people with podcasts these days. So in connecting with these

people, they would often have just like local women in business on their show.

And so I remember early on being invited to go and talk on this tiny little local radio show.

And I remember being sat there and going into the like the studio and it just felt like such a big moment like,

oh my gosh, last year I was so lost and confused like flailing around not knowing what to do. And now look at me. I'm in this, I'm in the big moment like, oh my gosh, last year I was so lost and confused, like flailing
