Well, welcome back to Elk Week on the Huntback Country Podcast.

In the previous episodes, we've talked about finding elk

and we've talked about hunting quiet elk

and how to close the distance.

But when all of that comes together

and you actually get an opportunity,

you get that elk in Bow Range, let's call it.

How do you then execute?

So like, what are the things that helped all of these guys

go from just being an elk hunter

to actually killing elk and filling tags more consistently?

If you're fortunate enough to get within Bow Range

of an elk, there's so many things

that still have to go right for a shot to happen.

And some of that's on the elk, some of that's on us,

some of that's nerves, there's all kinds of variables.

But newer hunters can make mistakes in those last moments

and don't capitalize on opportunities.

And so we want to talk about making the most

of all the opportunities.
