0:16.2	me talking to Lindsay and Gabby from the All- Years English podcast. We were talking about
0:21.2	our culture shock experiences as a general sort of look at what
0:26.3	culture shock is and how we can understand it.
0:30.0	You heard me in that episode say that I would go into a little bit more detail regarding the
0:35.8	different stages or phases of culture shock.
0:40.4	So that's what I'd like to do in this episode. First of all, why am I talking about culture shock so much?
0:47.0	In fact, I've got lots and lots of things to say on this subject. It's something that comes up on Luke's English podcast sometimes. I did an episode called
0:54.5	Sick in Japan where I described a story about how I got sick while living in Japan
1:01.4	but that kind of included lots of culture shock experiences.
1:05.0	I did another episode called First Impressions of Life in Paris, which is all about,
1:11.0	well clearly my first impressions of living in Paris.
1:14.2	And now I'm revisiting the subject in a bit more depth in order to really kind of clarify
1:20.3	lots of the different issues that relate to this.
1:23.0	I think it's a really good subject to deal with on the podcast
1:26.0	because of course I have people listening to this from all around the world.
