Hello Hello, hello.

Hi friend, I hope that you have had a really amazing week

and this goes without saying,

but I hope that you haven't been laid off. I know that is quite the intro but it's

honestly just been something that's been on my mind a lot lately. I spend a lot of time

creating on LinkedIn which by the way make sure to follow me there if you haven't already,

and there are just so many headlines and people I know in my personal life that have experienced a layoff recently.

It's hitting every type of role, every industry, and it's only January.

Unfortunately, I do think there is likely more to come, but that's why I hope that today's podcast can be

really helpful to you. To be honest I don't know exactly where this episode is

going to go but I wanted to just free-form talk through some things that are coming up for me

as I think about career transitions, career changes, and layoffs. All three I have direct experience in. So in I think it was the first

episode I shared a little bit about my professional background. I think my very

first job was working as an entry-level digital marketing assistant.

Honestly, I was truly just drawn to it because there was a work-from-home option available,

and even back then I knew I loved the autonomy and comfort of that.

But while I do have an emphasis in marketing, my career has been all over the place since

then.
