In fact, I've actually heard that Orson Scott Card is a good writer,

but I've never bothered to read any of his works of fiction or non-fiction for that matter.

Enders Game is all about this little kid who's really smart and bright and special and everyone

bullies him because of it. He's a total victim and it's just because he's so darn special.

Why does that sound like a Mary Sue character?

It sounds like Orson Scott Card is thinking about himself and he was bullied.

It's actually, you know, I liked it right up until I had training in philosophy because the whole thing really is about how Ender is guiltless because his intentions were good.

So Ender's game and actually even more Speaker for the Dead the one that followed

the speaker for the day explicitly points this out it's all about your intentions

the action really doesn't matter it's what you intended to happen and I think that's
