Hello, I'm Sean Curran, and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4, for Monday the 19th of January,

when the Foreign Secretary said a trade war with the US was in nobody's interest, after Donald Trump threatened

countries who opposed his plan to control Greenland.

Tariff threats like this are no way to treat allies.

Also tonight, cross-party support for the people protesting against the regime in Iran.

One MP describes the scenes on the streets.

There were so many people killed.

They were hosing the blood down the street using fire engines.

And the Conservatives blamed the Prime Minister for another delay to the Hillsborough law.

He did what he always does.

He made the campaigners one promise and he made the intelligence agencies another. The Prime Minister used a speech in Downing

Street this morning to call President Trump's threat to impose tariffs on the UK and other countries

opposed to his plan to take over Greenland, completely wrong.

Secere Starrma said a trade war would be in nobody's interest,

as reporters questioned his handling of relations with Donald Trump.

That message was repeated later when the Foreign Secretary of Et Cooper updated MPs on the diplomatic tensions.

Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Its future is a matter for Greenlanders and the Danes and them alone.

Yeah.
