And I tell you what, I have been a marriage counselor for such a long time and I don't

think I've ever worked with a single couple who has not loved

each other at one point. They came together with the best of intentions. They had the highest of

hopes for their relationship and they simply did not know what to do when inevitable

conflict and friction began to creep up. And I want to stress this part. Conflict and friction are inevitable. There are a lot of myths about relationships,

and I think that is one of the most destructive, you know, this idea that good relationships,

happy relationships, don't have conflicts, they don't have problems.

And there's like this fundamental, magical compatibility that makes people feel like they're always on the same page.
