Hi, friend. So good to see you today. I just cherish this time with you, truly. We are going to be

0:34.1

diving into a really hot topic. This is one of the most common questions I get, especially at the beginning of the year, when we have set these incredible goals of simplifying our lives, simplifying our homes, and decluttering.

0:46.8

If you struggle with consistency, first of all, just know you are not alone. Every human being on the face of the planet, struggles with consistency.

0:53.6

No matter what goal it is.

1:08.1

if you've been a listener of the show for a while. Oftentimes, on this simplifying journey, it can feel like you take, you know, one step forward and get this

1:15.7

great momentum. And then next thing you know, it's like you took three steps back. And that gets really

1:19.9

frustrating. It's like you're on this hamster wheel like I talk about in my introduction,

1:24.5

but especially when it comes to decluttering. And one big reason for that,

1:28.2

and there are actually many reasons why it's one step forward, three steps back. But one big one is

1:32.5

just struggling with consistency, lack of it. And I realized that it's really hard to be consistent

1:38.9

when all we focus on is the outcome more than the actual process and what it's going to take to get to that

1:46.1

outcome. As humans, we are like much more drawn to the positive feelings of this outcome of a

1:52.1

decluttered home, right? Imagine sitting down on the couch at the end of a day and being able to relax

1:57.3

and rest or hang out with the kids or read a book and just have that focus and clarity
