And today I'm bringing you an episode of shaping surfing with surfboard shaper John

Paisell.

John Peisell is best known for shaping surfboards for current world champ, John John

Florence.

They've had a lifelong relationship and John kind of details that in this conversation.

But we also get to hear about John's origin story, which is a story that I actually haven't really heard, told in American surf media anyways.

It might have been, and I just overlooked it.

But it was all news to me.

And as I kind of researched him on the internet prior to this conversation, I couldn't find a lot about John himself.

So we get into a lot of that.

We get into his relationship with John, of course, and then also where Paisal sees

surfboard design going and surfing going as we move forward.

We recorded this conversation in Oceanside, California, during the Hurley-Lowers

Pro, one of the laydays of that event.
