What's going on, everybody?

It's been a minute.

Welcome in to this week's edition of, I should say, this month's edition of the

Deer Hunter podcast, as most of you know, we've been, we've been slacking. I've been slack, and I'm not going to make up too many excuses, to be honest with you. It has been challenging last, you know, six, eight weeks with the birth of our daughter. I'm happy to announce that everything with that went

amazingly well. Mom and baby are extremely healthy. Everybody is home and healthy and happy.

And now we're just in the adjustment phase of having a newborn and having a five-year-old.

So we've been a one-kid household for five years, and now we're a two-kid household, and we both work.

Obviously, my wife took some time off to stay home with the baby, and she's lucky that she has a flexible schedule

and the ability to work from home but that said it just has been a crazy couple of couple months

really it has craziest couple months of my entire lifetime so you know god bless my wife huge thank you to her

she's really been taking the uh you know the she's really been the tip of the spear for taking the

workload with the newborn and uh i'm very grateful for that i took uh oh i took a week off and a couple days into the next week,

but then, you know, had to get back to reality and back to work. So it's been really busy and it's been,

you know, it's been difficult to find time to come out here and do the podcast, but like I said,

I'm not going to make up too many excuses and lie.

It's my own fault for not making time and making it happen.

So, you know, one of those factors obviously is a very limited time to deer hunt this fall.

And that was a harsh reality check of how that was going to affect my mental health.
