All right, here we go. Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast.

Current date is November 2nd, and we're going to have a quick little intro here today as we're getting ready to walk out the door.

We're going to head to the hospital, and my wife is going to deliver our baby girl.

So we've been running around here this afternoon.

I got a few minutes before my mother gets here to watch my son so that we can be on our way.

And I just wanted to cut a quick intro in and introduce this podcast.

Our guest this week is Alvin Sikavage.

He is one of the best deer hunters that I know personally, him and his crew of guys and his

deer camp more consistently than anyone I know in Northern Michigan shoot big deer. And so this

week on the podcast, we're breaking down how they do so him and his guys they all have a little bit different strategies but i would say a lot of similarities as well and they have very consistent success in the big woods of northern michigan where it can ultimately be a challenge to have

consistent success. I do kind of feel that I could say that, you know, if you can go up to

the big woods of northern Michigan and have consistent success, it's probably likely that

you could go anywhere in deer hunt and do so. So there's a lot in this episode.

I would advise you to listen to it two or three times if you need to to retain everything

that Alvin shares in here.

There's some really good insight and some really good approaches.

It was exciting for me to be able to have this conversation.

Like I said, I think I say it in the podcast.

I'm always hesitant to pick Alvin's brain because we hunt very close to one another.

So as far as like talking about strategies and locations, it always just feels, well, I guard, I'm, I, I highly guard my, you know, some of my information in Intel because you have to when you're hunting in a challenging location that has high pressure.
