words about the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

I'm recording this about a day and a half after her passing. She was 87 and passed away from a long battle with cancer.

And I think it's really safe to say that she was a pioneer.

She was an icon.

I read this story that back in 1960 when she was at Harvard Law School,

her dean asked a then Supreme Court justice if she could be a law clerk

under this Supreme Court justice.

And she got rejected.

The Supreme Court justice said that, yes, she was very impressive, but he didn't feel

that he could have a woman working underneath him, which is crazy.

And now that was in 1960.

33 years later, she ended up being nominated and joined the ranks of the Supreme Court.

And since then, just continued to be a champion for women's rights.

Now, obviously, before that, she was a huge champion for that.
