Let's go. Welcome to Citizen. Today we got a special guest Rabbi Simon Jacobson. You may remember

him from the book Toward a Meaningful Life which has a new

addition I think out just out and then the Meaningful Life Center in New York how we're doing sir

great great to be here so nice thank you for having me for sure so you were uh were you born in

New York yeah my parents were both Russian born they came to the United States

after World War II and I was born in New York.

That part of the United States by the way New York. Well, TBD on that, right?

I was just going to ask you about that actually.

It's changed quite a bit since you've moved there right

I mean it used to be I think I think the majority of people globally would have

said New York was the best city in the world maybe they would say Paris or

something else like that but New York would at least be in the world maybe they would say Paris or something else like that but

New York would at least be in the conversation I'm not sure that's true anymore.

Yeah New York is a controversial city a lot of people find it to be a very aggressive city.

Maybe some people even see it as an arrogant city.

I've always enjoyed being in New York.

It's always like, it's always alive.

The city never sleeps. And there's a lot of energy here.

So I find it to be very beautiful, but there's gone through a lot of changes, especially COVID, a big

exodus from the city.

But overall, it remains a pretty powerful city, I should say. Pretty impressive.
