There's a fine line we walk between insecurity.

I'm not good enough.

I can't do anything.

And I'm so awesome I can do everything.

It's that balance of I am confident in who I am in Christ and I walk in humility because

of who God is in me, not because of who I am in my own strength.

Hi, friends. It is time for a Talk It Out small talk. And I don't know how small I can keep this because we're talking about something that basically no one wants to talk about.

I don't know why you're so excited. And I love to talk about this just because God has hammered me with this year after year after year.

And we are talking today about one of the verses, only one of the verses that talks about pride and humility.

So our verse today for small talk is, 1 55, and it says, clothe yourself, all of you with humility toward one another.

For God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Now, one of the first fun places to start here is if you think, I don't need to talk about humility, then you probably do, because that sounds a little proud.

We got a show for you. But I get it. I remember thinking that. You know, I don't, not in a way that it sounds like that, I don't think

pride is an issue for me. I love people. I don't think of myself as better than them, but there's

so much more to pride than just that. There's so many insidious ways that pride sneaks into our world.

And God cannot, will not work around the walls of pride that we put up between us and him

because he gives us that choice.

And we have to start tearing that down so that we can

understand. That's why he opposes the proud. I don't want that in my life. No, I don't either,

even though it is very painful sometimes or it's a humbling process to learn about humility.

It is that. And it is painful. You're right.

It is because oftentimes it's not done in like a, just don't, just don't be like that.
