| 1:25.9 | And in both books, they talk about their personal development |
| 1:30.8 | programs. |
| 1:32.0 | And so, for example, Marcus Garvey, |
| 1:34.4 | most people don't know this, |
| 1:35.4 | Marcus Garvey was a huge fan of the new thought movement |
| 1:39.8 | and the new thought writers of the early 1900s. This is essentially like Christian |
| 1:44.0 | science, science of mind kind of writings. And so he learned that what makes a |
| 1:50.1 | difference in your life is the way that you think. |
| 1:53.8 | And so he went around the country teaching people to think differently about themselves |
| 2:00.1 | so they can create more success. |
