Hi, this is Alonzo Bowden, and I want to welcome you to another episode of my podcast, who's paying attention.

Oh man, crazy week, crazy week.

And it's only Wednesday.

We're only halfway through.

So I'm going to try to take it chronologically because I don't know any other way to do it.

I'll start Sunday, which was a good day because France got it right.

Yeah, Macron beat Le Pen. Basically, what that means is France was given the choice of do we elect the

intelligent, reasonable candidate, or do we elect the crazy right winger who's xenophobic and

hates people and prejudice and blah, blah, blah, dad was, you know, okay with the Nazis and

blah, blah, blah, blah. And France got it right. They elected Macron. He, he, uh, France will stay part of the EU and so on and so forth.

And, uh, let's just say they got it right and we got it wrong. So Viva LaFrance. Congratulations.

You elected the right guy. Um, and one with 65% of the vote. So that's pretty good. Also, and this is just kind of funny to me as far as us being opposite. So Emmanuel Macron's wife was his teacher in high school. The woman is 20 years older than him.

She's an advisor to him.

But the difference between her being an advisor and, oh, I don't know, Ivanka Trump being an advisor, is that this woman is smart.

This woman is like she's into literature, et cetera, et cetera. They love, France loves her.

They love her style. She's described as very cultivated. So many things that that we can't say about

the Trump's. And no knock against Melania Trump. Melania Trump

was just thrust into this position. Look, she was a gold digger and just thought she married

a billionaire and she could kick back. She did not know she would end up being the first lady

of the United States. And she hides out in New York and good for her but but it's just so funny that

France is so opposite and they have a first lady who is intelligent and sophisticated and

engaged wait a minute we had one of those I think they called her Michelle Obama ah for the good
