1:29.4	There's been yet more high drama this past week with the tardy but sensible decision by President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race on Sunday in favor of his much younger vice president, Kamala Harris.
1:31.9	She's already gained enough backing from Democratic grandees and delegates to guarantee
1:36.4	she'll secure the nomination on Monday night, which begs two questions.
1:41.6	Can she beat Donald Trump to the presidency?
1:46.1	And if she does, what will this mean for Ukraine? Well, what indeed? And the answer to the first question, I think Patrick is a
1:50.4	qualified yes, not least because the first opinion polls since Biden stood down has indicated
1:57.5	that she's got a better chance of beating Trump than a mentally impaired Biden.
2:01.8	It puts her on 44% of the national vote, two ahead of Trump,
2:06.3	and a previous poll by the same firm had Trump leading by two points.
2:10.5	So it's not impossible that she'll overturn Trump's lead in the swing states
2:14.1	ahead of the presidential election on the 5th of November.
