Today's episode is an extra special one to kick things off. Our guest is Lisa Sabie, the founder

and president of Parents to Parents, an organization dedicated to helping parents whose children are

navigating mental health concerns. They've produced several film documentaries that are

blessing families all over the world. Their first film, Anorexia, Parents to Parents, is shown

internationally in eating disorder centers and their second film, Going Sane, won an Impact Award.

Their latest film, American Tragedy, follows the experience of Sue Clebold, the mother of one of

the Columbine High School shooters, and explores what she wishes she would have known then about

mental health. American Tragedy won Best Documentary in the Boston Film Festival and has been screened

at Stanford, NYU, and for National School Administrators and Board Members.

Recently, Lisa Sabie's focus has switched from making documentaries to making educational materials

to support new parents early on to understand how to empower their children with mental wellness skills.
