Summary

In today's Monday Message, Emily discusses the one element that she believes everyone is missing when it comes to having the champion mentality. A deep insatiable hunger for whatever it is you're going after. Are you complacent in your life? What's barely feeding you just enough to keep you there and not take the action you know you need to take to have the life you desire? Have you lost your fight? You may have started to go down a different path and that has changed your mindset and therefore you've become complacent. Your life is meant for greatness and you can overcome really difficult things. It shows you what you're made of and when you realize that, you are able to go up against anything that is challenging you and keeping you from escaping your complacency. Challenge yourself and push past your comfort zone.

the grit, the intensity, the killer instinct, the champion mentality that a lot of people are missing

0:47.3

right now. And I believe that that element is hunger, a deep, insatiable hunger for whatever it is

0:54.0

you're going after.

0:55.0

I think there's so many people in life right now that have found themselves in a spot of complacency.

1:01.0

And they have believed the illusion, the lie, that they're happy in that complacency.

1:07.0

That complacency does not have any purpose, it has no fulfillment, it has no satisfaction,

1:14.8

how can you be proud of yourself when you were staying complacent?

1:19.1

I think that those people have believed this illusion, this lie, that they're happy giving

1:25.8

the status quo because it doesn't require much for them. It actually

1:29.7

allows for laziness. I'm telling you what, there is no fulfillment in laziness. There is no

1:36.1

purpose in laziness. So if you're being really honest, you actually aren't all that happy being

1:42.2

complacent. You've just realized that it doesn't require much work.

1:46.6

So ask yourself, what in my life is keeping me complacent?

1:50.3

There is something in your life that is feeding you just enough to keep you stuck,

1:55.6

just enough to keep you there.

1:58.0

There are sometimes in our lives when we experience something really negative and it

2:02.2

brings us down really, really in a drastic way, and that's really easy to identify and to decide that we

2:07.6

can't allow it in our lives. But what's actually harder to recognize and realize is that there's

2:13.0

something in our lives that's keeping us complacent. It's feeding us just enough to make us not do anything.

2:19.6

What is it for you? Is it a job? Is it a consistent paycheck where you don't really have to do

2:25.3

much for it and you just get it anyways? That keeps you from pursuing something more. That keeps you
