What is going on, everyone? Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all happy podcast. I'm your host, Josh, here with my co-host. KG in the house. And we're getting back at another episode of Mailbox Monday. So once again, if you're new to this podcast on Monday, we do Mailbox Monday where we, you know, talk through some stuff. It's a little more laid back. And we will answer a few of your questions, which is always a really good time. Then on Thursday, you know, we do a topic-based video. We're really dive into that. So we always like to start our mailbox Mondays off by just kind of going through a quote. So I'm going to go ahead and share my quote and I actually share this with our 60-day shredders and this is a quote you know my original transformation video on

0:38.8

YouTube if you search it you know it's kind of like me from 15 to 17 or 16 to 17 or something. Like it's from forever ago. But, you know, the editor, we had an editor. It's pretty funny, like one of my buddies. But he put this in. And ever since, I've been like, man man this quote fired me up so i just want to go

0:55.2

ahead and show it with everyone so this from greg pit plit if you know who he is he was a really big uh you

1:00.7

know fitness aesthetics guy motivational speaker really really cool dude definitely an intense dude

1:05.7

and he actually passed away trying to do a a photo shoot or something on train tracks for some

1:10.7

fitness thing and he actually

1:11.6

got killed by the train. It's pretty upsetting. Pretty sad story, but he was definitely very

1:16.3

inspirational, crazy good physique that guy. And this was his quote and I've always kept this,

1:21.0

you know, on the back of my head and hopefully this will give everyone some energy. So here we go.

1:24.9

If you guys are really wondering if you were burning out mentally, take a day off and go to your local hospital. Go to the cancer wing. Look at a four-year-old who won't ever hit their teenage years, probably won't ever see their next birthday. Go and see someone who is mentally or physically disabled or see when a soldier who just came back from war doesn't have legs anymore. Stare that guy down, look at him right in the eyes and tell them as you stand there with two

1:45.7

capable legs that you were burned out, that you don't want to use them.

1:49.1

See if that doesn't kill him right there because he would have anything to have that opportunity.

1:53.5

Dude, that literally gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it.

1:57.4

And it's a darker quote.

1:59.3

I know it's super intense and people can be like,

2:01.6

it's a little too too much for me. But I think it's very important, you know, we have talked in the past about, you know, changing the framework from I have to work out to I get to work out. I have the ability to work out. And, you know, I think that's never been more true than now with gyms being closed and things like that you know it really shows you you know you don't

2:19.5

necessarily know what you know, it really shows

2:18.5

you know, you don't necessarily know what you have until it's taken away. Once again, a big cliche, but it's true, you know, with the gym and everything like that. And, you know, for all of us who are able-bodied, you know, it's normal to be tired. It's normal to be demotivated. But I think if you kind of, you know, go back and look at this really basic way of thinking and think, wow, like I'm blessed

2:35.5

in so many ways, you know, I have two arms, two legs. Like I'm so, I'm capable of so much. And it kind of encourages me this quote to really, you know, do what I'm capable of and, you know, really harness life and harness life I've been given. Man, if I, if honestly, I feel like if every person every day will read that in the morning,

2:51.8

like any time you kind of have an excuse where you're like, oh, I don't want to squat or just like, you know, I don't want to go to the gym or I don't want to cook healthy. You realize how grateful we actually are. I think it just will shift our entire mindset and our entire day. I'll never forget back in high school when I went to a gym. We had a gym membership where a lot of people,

3:10.1

you know, had disabilities. And there was this one guy. So I was squatting. And he comes into the Smith machine beside me. And I was like probably about to quit. I'll never forget this day. And he comes over with crutches and like, you know, he's like shaking shaking and stuff and then we'll just go like just drop

3:24.1

the crutches um put something between his legs to kind of like support him and then just starts
