I think a mistake, I don't really want to call it a mistake, I think mistake is kind of a harsh term,

0:04.7

but something that I see frequently with people who are connecting a purpose with their product

0:09.3

is that their purpose has nothing to do with their product. Where like I said, they're selling

0:15.0

pillowcases and their purpose is for every pillowcase that we sell, we plant a tree in Canada.

1:21.5

or about children or, you know, providing some sort of donation to a cause that they really believe in and associating

1:31.3

that with their business. So it's kind of like a two-way, you know, street here where part of it,

1:38.1

I think, we have to be honest with ourselves. I think part of it is slightly selfish, meaning we're

1:42.9

using it as a marketing strategy.

1:45.2

We're trying to convince people to buy our product because a portion of the proceeds are

1:49.8

going to be donated to a good cause.

1:51.8

So in a way, you know, there is some self-interest there at heart with promoting a purpose

1:58.3

with the product.
