Today, while we almost always are talking about that finite resource, that scarce, scarce

sweet resource, that is money, today we're going to talk about another finite resource,

and it's going to be framed around the idea of 18 summers.

And there's an alarming statistic that I'm going to only let you know once you start

listening to this conversation, but I had the absolute pleasure of having Jim and Jamie

shields on the podcast, and they are essentially, how would I couch this?

They are family, they're experts in the family, especially for busy business owners, entrepreneurs,

professionals that just, they just can't seem to strike that balance.

And y'all know I don't really like the word or the phrase work life balance, but this

idea of integration of work and the rest of your life, work and family.

And they just have this fantastic, simple approach that is grounded in the universal idea,

and that's the one we're all familiar with here, of finite resources.

You only have so much time with these kiddos, with this family of yours, before things

kind of change, and they're off.

So you know, hopefully they're bigger and better things, but things will change, and that

time you have with your kids or with a niece or nephew, it is finite.

So as with any valuable finite resource, we must just be absolutely intentional about how

we use it, how we go about it.
