Welcome to the rest of politics with me, Rory Stewart, and me, Alistair Campbell.

Today we're going to be talking Labour and Care Starmer, the situation in Ukraine, refugee

policy, while Alistair has spent his weekend mugging up on the Northern Ireland protocol

and is chomping at the bit to talk about it.

So Alistair, shall we start with Care Starmer and Labour?

Before we get onto Labour, there was a question from somebody called Fred Banning.

Rory was excellent on BBC Question Time last week, and he's asking whether I trained

you for it.

Rory, I just want to give you a couple, I think I see parts of my role in this podcast

as toughening you up a bit as a politician, okay?

So I'm going to start today before we get onto all those wonderful subjects you mentioned

with a couple of lessons, if I may.

The first is there is a place in politics for blatant plugging and promotion.

If we didn't have blatant plugging, how would we even know that Boris Johnson's slogan

at the election was get Brexit done, which he hasn't managed to do?

So Rory, if you are co-presenting the country's number one podcast, which has been top of

the charts now for the last couple of weeks, without a break, and which has just launched

its own version of question time, which by the way, listeners will be on in your feed

tomorrow morning, and you get onto the original BBC question time.
