| 0:00.0 | Hello, hello, hello. Thank you for joining me for episode number 18 of the Bouncing Back |
| 0:12.4 | podcast with me, James Middleton. Today I am going to be talking about tackling procrastination |
| 0:20.5 | and decision making. |
| 0:23.6 | I, well, I'd say the last like five or six episodes that I've done on this podcast, |
| 0:29.4 | I've been inspired by certain topics that I've read about or spoken about with friends. |
| 0:36.1 | And what I usually do is that I'll make a load of notes, |
| 0:39.9 | I'll write out some notes, have a little read-through, make sure it makes sense and that I can |
| 0:44.3 | speak comfortably about the topic that I'm talking about for however long and that's the way it |
| 0:50.5 | usually goes. Now admittedly the last couple of weeks, I haven't really |
| 0:55.8 | felt inspired to talk about something or I haven't been itching to talk about a topic. And I know |
| 1:00.9 | that sounds silly because there are hundreds, if not thousands of things to talk about on a podcast. |
| 1:05.7 | But for me, I want to make sure that anything I do talk about is really relevant and really well thought about. I don't |
| 1:14.1 | want to just rush in and spiel and talk absolute nonsense on here because I know there are some people |
| 1:19.4 | who do that and just fire out podcasts every two days. So I took a little bit of a break, had a bit of a |
| 1:25.4 | refresh. And the irony is, is I was having a nap |
| 1:28.5 | about 20 minutes ago, a little 20 minute nap because I'm going out tonight and I'm an old man now. |
| 1:35.0 | So if I'm going to stay out past 1am, then I need some stamina, not just espresso martini. They're |
| 1:40.9 | not strong enough for me these days. And I woke up from my nap and I just had these ideas running in my head and I felt a bit |
| 1:46.8 | inspired to talk about this topic in particular, procrastination and decision making and |
| 1:53.6 | decision fatigue because I realized that the reason why I was having this nap, obviously it's |
| 1:59.5 | the main reason is for me to stay out later |
| 2:02.0 | tonight, but it's actually to break up my day. And it got me thinking, that's why I train at 2pm |
